Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Makvix website, customer portal, digital services, contact forms, WhatsApp communications and related online experiences operated by Mohammad Kazem for Trade and Investment SPC, trading under the Makvix brand.

Our registered business details are: Al Khawd, P.O. Box 111, Al Seeb, Muscat Governorate 112, Oman. You can contact us at makvixco@makvix.com or +968 76930400.

Depending on how you use Makvix, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Identity and contact information: name, company name, email address, phone number, country and preferred language.
• Account information: profile details, account identifiers, authentication events and verification records.
• Project and service information: enquiries, project requirements, support requests, proposals, tickets, messages and uploaded materials.
• Transaction information: order details, invoices, payment status, Tap transaction references and billing information. Sensitive payment-instrument details entered in the Tap Payments experience are processed by Tap Payments and the relevant payment networks, not stored as full card details by Makvix.
• Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring pages, timestamps, diagnostic logs and security events.
• Communication information: emails, WhatsApp messages, chatbot conversations and records of customer-support interactions.
• Preference information: language, marketing choices, saved cart information and website settings.

We collect information when you provide it directly, when you use our website or services, and when approved service providers send us information needed to operate a requested feature.

• When you submit a contact form, request a quotation, create an account, place an order or contact support.
• When you request a one-time verification code or sign in to a Makvix service.
• When you communicate with us through WhatsApp, email, social media or the Makvix chatbot.
• Automatically through cookies, local storage, server logs and similar technologies.
• From Tap Payments, hosting providers, Meta platforms and other providers involved in delivering a feature you requested.

We use personal information only for legitimate business and service purposes, including to:

• Provide, operate, maintain and improve Makvix websites, applications and digital services.
• Authenticate users by email one-time passcode and protect accounts against misuse.
• Respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, deliver projects and provide customer support.
• Process orders, payments, subscriptions, refunds and invoices.
• Send service notices, security alerts, booking confirmations and other transactional messages.
• Personalize website content, language and product experience.
• Monitor reliability, investigate errors, prevent fraud and enforce our terms.
• Meet legal, accounting, tax and regulatory obligations.
• Send marketing communications where you have requested them or where permitted by applicable law, with an option to opt out.

Makvix account sign-in uses a short-lived one-time passcode sent to the email address you provide. We may retain limited verification records such as the normalized email address, an irreversible code hash, expiry time, request time and failed-attempt count to secure the sign-in process and prevent abuse. We do not store the readable one-time code after verification.

WhatsApp remains a separate communication and service channel for features that use the WhatsApp Business Platform. When you use those features, your phone number, message content, template parameters and delivery metadata may be processed by Meta and its infrastructure providers as needed to provide the requested WhatsApp service. WhatsApp is not used as the Makvix website sign-in method.

Never share a Makvix email verification code with another person. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp and Meta policies, and Makvix does not control how Meta independently processes information under its own terms.

Makvix uses Tap Payments for online payment processing. When you proceed to payment, Tap Payments may collect and process payment-instrument, payer, transaction, device and fraud-prevention information required to authorize and complete the transaction. Tap Payments acts independently for payment-instrument information under its own privacy obligations.

Makvix normally receives payment-related information such as the transaction or charge reference, amount, currency, status, order reference and limited customer or billing metadata needed to reconcile the purchase, provide the service, prevent fraud and handle support or refunds. We do not ask you to send full card numbers, CVV values or banking passwords to Makvix support.

For details about Tap's processing of payment information, see the Tap Payments Privacy Policy.

Some Makvix services may use artificial-intelligence providers to help answer questions, summarize information, generate suggestions or support customer-service workflows. Information you submit to an AI-assisted feature may be processed by an approved provider solely to deliver that feature.

Do not submit passwords, one-time passcodes, full payment-card details, government identification numbers or other highly sensitive information to a chatbot unless a specific secure process asks for it.

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with:

• Tap Payments for online payment processing, transaction status, fraud controls and approved refunds.
• Other service providers that support hosting, analytics, communications, authentication, email delivery, cloud storage and customer support.
• Professional advisers such as accountants, auditors, insurers and legal advisers where reasonably necessary.
• Authorities or other parties where disclosure is required by law, court order, regulation, safety needs or the protection of legal rights.
• Business successors in connection with a merger, restructuring, acquisition or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Providers are given only the information reasonably necessary for their role and are expected to protect it.

Our website may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, maintain a shopping cart, measure website performance and improve security. Some technologies are essential for the website to work.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may cause login, checkout, language or cart features to stop working correctly.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, to maintain active services, resolve disputes, protect security and meet legal, tax, accounting or contractual obligations.

Retention periods vary by data type. Short-lived authentication data is retained for a limited period, while invoices and transaction records may be kept longer where required by law. Backup copies may remain temporarily until they are securely overwritten through normal backup cycles.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, loss or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting, monitoring and limited staff access.

No internet service is completely risk-free. You are responsible for protecting your devices, account access and verification codes, and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized activity.

Makvix is based in Oman, while some service providers may process information in other countries. Where information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and applicable requirements.

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may request that we:

• Confirm whether we hold personal information about you.
• Provide access to, correct or update your information.
• Delete information that is no longer required.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Stop sending optional marketing communications.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes. For deletion steps, visit our Data Deletion Instructions page.

Makvix services are intended for businesses and people with legal capacity to enter into agreements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through services directed specifically to them. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information may contact us to request review and deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or another appropriate channel.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to makvixco@makvix.com with a clear description of your request.
